A configuration error was detected in the CGI script; the SUB-TOP-BANNER template could not be found.

Thanks to Bill Benet who provided the answer to my problem with my signature
block when received, although apparently it did look OK to most people
receiving it.  To avoid the problem, Bill passed on the following (just in
case others have the problem):

Go to Tools/Options/Preferences/E-mail Options and uncheck "Remove Extra
Line Breaks in Plain Text Messages.
