Windows Explorer in XP Home is presented as a left navigation bar much the same as "Search" and "Favorites" in Internet Explorer. With XP, both Windows Explorer and IE 6.0 present a cutesy little dog and the dialog box in a comic strip sort of bubble. Recently I found that when I try to invoke this function in either of the above, all that is presented is the stupid little dog and a collapsed bubble, with no content. I suspect its file corruption in the installation but would like to avoid a complete reload of the O/S to correct it. Microsoft's KB hasn't been any help in isolating a cause; has anyone on the forum experienced similar behavior and found a remedy?

Thanks!
