I recently asked about freeware or shareware programs to format diskettes
at higher than normal density.  This was not an open invitation to send me
your favorite shareware program to do this.  I have received several such
attachments today.

Please do not attach files to messages to anyone unless they have been
requested in advance so the receiver is aware of what they are getting from
you.  It is very unwise to blindly run programs received from anyone you do
not know.  I simply delete programs I receive from anyone I do not know and
I highly recommend that everyone do the same.  It is much better to just
tell the receiver a little about the file and tell them where they can get
the file themselves if they want to see it.

I don't mean to belittle those who wished to help, but this is not the way
to do it.
