I'd endorse Gunnar's experience with EasyCleaner, which clears up invalid
registry entries. I've been using it for some time now, and have had no
problems. It does seem to be effective.
Apparently Windows Registry has this awful habit of creating entries all
over the place (including when downloading files from the 'Net), and then
forgetting all about them. EasyCleaner cleans these up, so that one has a
much leaner Registry.
