Anne, the answer is Maybe.
A DVD on a CD is merely what it suggests. A CD-R that has had DVD data
written to it. A normal CD player, i.e. one that is not part of a computer,
does not have the MPEG decoding necessary to play the encoded files.
However, using a CD-ROM drive in a computer with either a hardware or
software DVD decoder, you should be able to play the DVD on a CD just fine.
Granted the player you are using must allow you to pick what drive to play
from. The Creative DxR3 card that I have, will allow playback from any of
my drives, it just looks for a valid file to play.
