Hi,
  One way to do this, is to rename the WIN.COM file in the C:\WINDOWS
directory to WIN.OLD (or anything else). This is the only file the install
procedure looks for at this time, to see if you have Windows on the system. If
it doesn't see it, it assumes you don't have windows, and drops through this
test. Later in the install it will "see" the rest of the old windows
installation, and update it as a full upgrade CD would.
  I have used this method successfully on several occasions.
