I am having a problem with Windows 95. When set-up to use the active
desktop, the data in any folders on the desktop are no longer visible,
including My Computer.
The directory structure in Explorer is visible, but the right-hand pane
shows zilch.
Changing back to the normal or classic set-up restores all the missing
files.
I then deleted Windows 95 completely and recovered about 150 MBs of disk
space.(talk about program bloat) Then did a new installation.
The active desktop then worked perfectly.
Re-installed my programs:-
Word Perfect 7
Word 7
Norton Uninstall
Norton Utilities 3.0
Winfax pro 7.0 plus any other small programs that required special
.DLL's.
After a couple of hours the same problem returned.
One of these installs must be the culprit (I think).
Has anyone else had this experience with any of the above programs or
with the active desktop?.
I know, leaving active desktop alone solves the problem, but I rather
like single clicking and the web appearance.

Hoping there is an answer to this.
