Diane,

Go to Project on the menu bar and select References from the menu. Scroll down until you find
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 on the list (Access 2000 is driven by this... earlier versions
were driven by something else). Check the check box and this SHOULD work.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Visual Basic Problems

I'm taking beginning Visual Basic, and I'm having a problem linking a VB form to an Access database.
I started my form with a Data Control and put the database name/location in the DatabaseName
property. When I went to the RecordSource property and clicked on the down arrow, I got the
following error: Unrecognized database format 'C:\Chapter9\file.mbd. Any suggestions?

I'm using VB 6 and Office 2000 Pro. I downloaded the Service Pak 4.0 hoping that would help, but
I'm still getting the same error message.

Thanks for the help.
