I'm running Windows 2000 Pro on a Dell Inspiron 8000 notebook, and I am trying to figure out why it will not shutdown or restart using the software.  I can power off with the on/off switch, and then turn it back on again, but I'd like to figure out what has happened to the software. Does anyone have any ideas or links where I might find some help for this problem?
