  On removable media like these, the "label" is set/stored on the
*disk* and not the *drive*.  Notice that when you insert a CD-ROM,
the name shown for the CD-ROM drive usually changes....
  [The label on a CD is set when the image is "burned"; on floppies
and Zip disks, you should be able to change it by right-clicking on
the drive and selecting "Properties".]
