Tom, With Ghost 6.5, you can restore individual files or whole folders.
You can add and delete files to/from the image.  To keep the
image the "correct" size, it would then be better to re-compile, (it
will do that...)      All these functions are done from the companion
program: Ghost Explorer.   It will also re-compile older Ghost Images
to "upgrade them" to these new features.
The best new feature (for me) is a comments section that allows you
to document what you "might need to" while making an archive.
This "comments" section can be read in a normal Explorer window
under properties...
