Since this discussion item has been around for a while and although I don't
know the V310, I'll add that once I had a parallel port scanner that had to
have the port configured differently through the computer's BIOS/CMOS to
communicate properly. Unfortunately, I don't remember the required setting.
Maybe this information will help anyway.

Guys,  the Microtek V310 is an older printer. It works off the parallel
port.
