Just my humble opinion but I am an AMD fan. The benchmarks that I have read
here lately is not that much difference between the Intel P4 and Athlon
XPs. The difference that there is not the worth the price difference. As far
as a good motherboard I have built with both Asus and Abit and I have to say
that the Abit system was a lot easier to set up and seems to run very
smoothly. As far as video cards go I have an ATI in my current main system
and it seems to work very nicely with every game I have thrown at it. It also
has the ability to hook up to a TV in and out as well as video capture via
RCA cable. As far a SCSI or Raid depending on what you are doing with it I
would stay away from raid unless you are doing a lot of writing and less
reading. Like video editing you should use raid but games or most daily task
you should use just ATA 100. Hope this Helps
