Most newer BIOS have a setting for "Wake on LAN" or "Wake on Modem" which
you can set, depending on your Internet connection. There are free utilities
that will ping your IP address at a certain time or call your modem. I have
used Falling Awake for this and it works great
(http://www.fallingawake.com/showWakeUpCall.asp).

Hello

I was wondering if there is an hardware solution to turn my PC on at a
designated time? By that I mean: where I can set the time and it will turn
my PC on at that time.

I 'assume' that this facility may be in some BIOS ... but it's not in mine

TIA ... Mick
