System Restore should fix it, if you have enough restore points available.

Trouble is, each installation very likely would have created a new restore 
point, deleting older ones as it goes. That's one of the serious 
deficiencies with SR---there's no simple way of keeping older (and known 
good) restore points.

It's time someone came up with a little utility which will save selected 
restore points--I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard.  But I've 
never come across any such utility.
