Alan,

These instructions assume you have the full version of Windows 98 and not an
upgrade version.

1. Insert a bootable floppy disk in the A drive.
2. Make sure the PC boots using that disk and not to the C drive.
3. Type the dos command FORMAT C: /s and press ENTER
4. Answer the question with Y
5. When finished, turn off the pc.
6. Replace the disk in drive A with the boot disk that comes with Windows
98.
7. Turn on the PC.
8. Select the option to load CD-ROM support.
9 Follow the directions on the screen.
10 After windows completes the installation REBOOT ONE MORE TIME.
11. Now insert the 98 Plus! CD and follow the directions which came with
that disk.
12. After the Plus CD completes it's installation, REBOOT ONE MORE TIME.
13 Load in all your other software.

I strongly suggest that you after you install one program, run it, test it
(and I mean USE it, don't just load it and exit), and then reboot the PC
before you install the next program.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Please Help

Hi,
My name is Alan D'Arcy and I have had problems with my PC and Windows since
I first bought it. I would like to remove everything, including Windows and
start from scratch with Windows98 Plus!. I have all of my programs on
CD-ROM and floppy disc and would not worry about loosing saved information
as all my documents are also on disc. Could you please tell me how to start
everything again from the very beginning.
Thank,

Alan D'Arcy
