Assuming that your current motherboard has a 4x/8x AGP slot, you can find
X1600 series video cards that use an AGP slot. If you'd care to post the
make and model of your motherboard (or system, if you it is a name brand
system), we can probably find some online documentation to better determine
your options.

If you are looking to upgrade your system to play the latest 3D intensive
games, you may need to consider a faster video card, which likely would be
better served in a newer computer with a PCI-Express slot. This is the slot
that all the latest video cards are being developed for.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Motherboard question

Gentlemen,
I have a computer with a 462 socket motherboard and wish to upgrade my ATI
Radeon 9550 video card with a ATI Radeon X1600. My question is will the
X1600 work on the 462 or is it best matched with a 939 socket motherboard?
Thanks for any advise...
Brad
