I was all set to install a new modem in my friends computer when he called
saying that he can now connect to web although nothing was changed or done
to this computer. The modem is a Rockwell HFC I'm not sure if this is a
"soft" modem or how to explain why the computer is working, and not get-
ting an "no dial tone" error any longer. Is this some weird software
glitch? He must have rebooted 20 times since the modem errors first occured.
Thanks for any info.
Bob
