I have an 8200 series with 1.8 gig CPU and Rambus memory. Rambus memory is faster than DDR, but it is also much more expensive. You won't have as many choices for adding memory with Rambus as you will with DDR, and you won't spend as much money on DDR. I haven't had any problems with it in the year since I got it. I did install Goback 3.x so I wouldn't have to use Dell's customer service, which has become quite bad.
