Tom,

According to my little book, for the AMI BIO, 7 beeps means a "virtual mode
exception error". For Mylex and Eurosoft BIOS it means a "DMA page register
failure". There is no listing for the Award BIOS, and all the other
listings (Phoenix, IBM, etc.) are combinations of beeps. Sometimes the
combinations are steady beeps, sometimes they are longs and shorts.

As far as a web site, you need to check the manufacture of the BIOS and go
to their web sites for more specific information. Also, a general search on
BIOS error codes included with the name of the BIOS should yeild some
results. Good luck!

Kyle
