1. Try swapping it with a known good drive if possible.
2. Also try to boot from the floppy.
3. Scan your system with the latest Virus Software. Sounds like you may have a
version of the Anti-Cmos Virus if the drive checks out OK.
4. Check all cables to the drive in question.
