If the cdrom if for ocasional use, such as loading programs, you can use DOS
Interlink/Interserver so that a PC with a cdrom "serves" it, install W95
upgrade, and from then on use W95 Direct Cable Connection with another W95
PC. The linking cable can be serial null modem (com port) or special laplink
parallel (much faster, lpt port).

Other cheap solution should be a box adapting an IDE port to a parallel
port, its software, and an IDE cdrom.
