Here's something I've wanted to try for a while anyway-The Automatic Skip
Driver Agent.
Here's a brief Description from MS: (URL below).
Automatic Skip Driver Agent identifies devices that can cause Windows 98 to
stop responding (hang) when you start your computer, and then disables them
so that they are bypassed when you next restart your computer.
To start Automatic Skip Driver, click Start, point to Programs, point to
Accessories, point to System Tools, click System Information, and then click
Automatic Skip Driver Agent on the Tools menu.
I've never heard of anyone using it,and will be curious to know if it works
for you.

Don't know for sure if this is a PCSOFT or PCBUILD, but here goes. A friend
has a 98SE machine running w/32 meg ram, AMD 233MMX, TXPro mobo. More and
more frequently, she gets this message on boot-up:

While initializing device IOS:
Error: An I/O subsystem driver failed to load.
Either a file in the .\iosubsys subdirectory is corrupt,
or the system is low on memory.

Turning the system off and back on again usually works. Is this a driver
problem? Why would it boot up ok sometimes and not others? How could you
trace the driver if that is the cause?

all help appreciated!
