Hi,
        I have a similiar problem with my mobo.  If I hold the power
switch in for about 5 seconds, it turns off just fine.  I think it is a
bios bug, I have a setting to determine whether I have an instant off or
a five second delay, and even with that set to instant I have to hold
the button in.
