NO, That is not something even the factory can do (easily).
They place everything and solder it all in about 15-30 seconds
with some sort of special process. (Dipping IIRC.)

About the BIOS upgrade.
Maybe no one checked it or bothered before... <??>
You need the BIOS-utility to go with that.
AND (generally on older systems) a simple DOS Boot floppy
that has NO drivers or memory management of any kind.

The location of the file storage has changed. It "looks like" it is
in a personal WEB account of a 1&1 hosting service member.
(You might want to find your own at the List/(Group) WEB site.

There only seems to be "one" Audio driver.

For the LAN, get the quick-start guide and see where the
LAN chipset is on page 11.

It is between the pci1-pci2 slots and the slot holes on the back of the case.
See if the numbers on it let you ID it physically. (Software IDs are easier
IF they don't read the registry as a quick workaroound...)

The IDE/MB drivers are VIA for sure, (based on the pictures on "page 11" above.)
