Hi:

Unfortunately you did not give complete details of the systems involved.
Are the 2 systems using the same operating systems?  If not, you need to
make a network ID disk to put into the older os machine from the newer os
machine, so the older os can recognize the newer one.  The network wizard
of the newer one will guide you through that procedure.

Also do you have different names for the computers and the same "workgroup"
name on both machines?  The newer os don't use the same network "workgroup"
that windows 98 uses.
