Peter, I haven't see the one you describe, but I'm using a similar gadget.
My gizmo is a container in which you install a hard drive (or CDRW I
believe) and from that point on, if you wish to transfer data between
computers (with USB ports), you just plug it in and the new drive is
instantly recognised.  'Course, you gotta install the software onto each pc
first.  But that's pretty simple, it fits on a floppy.
