Hi Steve,

Have you heard of Norton Ghost?

This will allow you to move data from one hard drive to another, and keep
everything intact. it is also a good way to backup data or OS configurations
for restoration later... (Good for Testing Environments. )

Ghost 2003 is the latest version, and it will let you Ghost to and from an
NTFS partition.

you may also look into PQMagic to create and enlarge your existing
partitions once the data is on the new drive..

Hope this was helpful

Eric

Hi, I have just bought an 80 gig hard drive, ATA 100, 7200 rpm. I =
already have a 30 gig hard drive ATA 66, 5400 rpm.

My question is, is it possible to keep my OS (XP Pro) still installed =
and running on the new hard drive and use the new one for everything =
else? I have heard that the new one will slow down to the old one's =
speed, other people say that newer motherboards cover this problem.

I also, have a cdrom & a burner, what would the best way to set all this =
up for optimal performance?

My system is a celeron 850 on an AOpen motherboard with 640 meg ram.

Thanks in advance

Have a nice day

Steve Hedges
