Get some 303 Marine Protectant (auto supply or marine supply store)
and use a q-tip to apply some to all the gears, rollers and any moving
plastic parts. Do not make it wet enough to drip. You will see a lot
of dirt come off. Move gears and rollers with fingers to get all
parts.

It may help.

It has kept a Mannesmann Tally 910 (dinosaur) working very well as
well as my HPs, sticky grinding faxes and credit card machine with
sticky/locking 9 key.

It works much better than lanolin on the soft black roller.

Your mileage may vary.

Charlie
