I used ME as long as I could, and held out on upgrading to XP until I wanted to upgrade to a SATA drive.
It was my understanding that ME (hence, 98, too) would not support SATA drives, except, perhaps, via a
PCI card, i.e. not off of the motherboard.

Subject: [PCBUILD] First Computer Build

Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction...I am using a Mach Speed MotherBoard with
a Celeron D 340 processor and things seem to be instaling ok, when windows locks up at 61%. I am using a
Maxtor SATA drive, not sure if I am having a hardware problem or a software problem. I am triyng to
install win 98. Thanks

Mark
