PMFJI,
I would not recommend "upgrading" to WindowsXp Home to try to solve resource
problems.  Upgrading to Xp Home is an ok idea, but I would recommend a clean
install, that is backing up all your data , fdisk the hard drive and install
Xp as a fresh install.  Then re-install your applications programs and then
restore your data.  I've never found an operating system upgrade to solve
problems like this.  Just my .02.
