I received a privat Email that suggested the following but I didn't see
it posted. So I'm sending it in without the author's name so they can
keep their privacy.

John,
I had the same problem, getting disconnected from the internet. I put a
string in the extra settings of the modem. To get there, go to control
panel>modem>general tab>properties>connection tab>advanced> and in the
extra settings box type:
s10=100 s11=60

put it in just the way I have it, with a space between s10=100 and
s11=60

Hope this works for you. If it doesn't, you can just take out the info
in the extra settings box.
