Hi again group.

First off, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for everyone's
suggestions and advice concerning this old Packard Bell and it's
troubles.  And, basically, everyone was correct about the memory
problems.....

Yesterday it fired up just fine after I re-seated the ram....for the
umpteenth time! ......  later on after a few re-starts it refused, again,
with the same three error tones.  I pulled out all of the ram and got out
my trusty magnifying glass and found a tiny...I mean very tiny.... piece
of debris no larger than the tip of a pin, and got that out.....This
morning everything has booted fine several times.....so far.......

So, thanks bunches everyone.
