What about the (remote?) possibility of removing RAM from the "slow" card
and putting it in the "faster" card.  It must be removable, and the same
type (VRAM, EDO, or whatever).  It also has to be fast enough not to slow
things down.  There may also be a jumper that has to be changed so that the
video card will recognize the additional RAM.

Given the fall in prices of RAM, it may be useful to shop around for some
more RAM of the same type.
