Help please::

I installed new black and color cartridges in an Epson
Stylus 600 ink jet printer. Now when I try to print
an error message pops up and says the printer is not on
line. How can you put a printer on line? Using
win98, in P11 350 PC, 128mb ram. The HP lazerjet 5L prints
fine on LPT1, the epson is supposed to be on lpt2 (ecp printer
port)
