Dianne:

Have you looked in the bios to see if the bios has enabled the 
USB?  Sometimes they work only in the operating system and therefore people 
do not look to see if the bios is enabled.

Second point:  Do you know it is a working Keyboard?  Have you tried it on 
another system?
