Subject: Bus Mastering
I can't seem to find any information on exactly what bus mastering is.  I
intend to install a Promise ATA100 PCI card into my computer  and Promise
says that the MB must be PCI 2.1 compliant, which mine is.  It is an Asus
with HX chipset and P200MMX.  But that it must support bus mastering.  I
never really knew what that meant.  Any information would be greatly
appreciated.  William Patton
