both carry the same signal, if I am assuming correctly that by BNC you mean
a 5 cable RGBHV setup.  A d-sub to RGBHV breakout cable would be all you
need.  If your talking VGA to BNC Composite video, be prepared to get
downscanning equipment and lose a whole lotta resolution.
