Greetings--

Have you tried putting in mail.att.net for the incoming server name and smtp.att.net for the outgoing server name? That used to be the convention of many ISPs.

My friend has a new dialup account with att.net.  (She did have Juno,
but dropped it.)  Unfortunately, it first goes to  Yahoo, which takes
forever to load, then to ATT which takes forever to load, then it takes
forever to load her email.

I tried to set up an account for her in Outlook Express using
pop.att.net and mail.att.net, but ATT would not buy the pop.att.net
