If you try to connect to att.net, you get redirected to Yahoo, so it
looks as though they've made some kind of deal.
I can't get into the support files as I'm not a customer, but that's
where you'll find the settings for their servers. It seems to me you'd
do as well to set up a GMail accout even though it's dial up. Outlook
Express is basically dead anyway, so she's better off switching to
something more secure.

I used to have a dialup connection to ATT Worldnet. It connected to a 
web page that took forever to load, so I just set up an account on 
Outlook Express and used it instead.

(I now use WildBlue, which is much, much faster!!)

My friend has a new dialup account with att.net. (She did have Juno, 
but dropped it.) Unfortunately, it first goes to Yahoo, which takes 
forever to load, then to ATT which takes forever to load, then it takes 
forever to load her email.

I tried to set up an account for her in Outlook Express using 
pop.att.net and mail.att.net, but ATT would not buy the pop.att.net

If anyone here connects to att.net using Outlook Express, will you 
please let me know what the account settings are for Outlook Express.

And, if you know that this is no longer possible, or if you have 
suggestions for speeding the log-on up, I would be interested in them,
too.

It is hard to believe how clunky and slow that this process is, and they

call it "High Speed Internet" in their ads!!
