I am trying to install a 14.4 modem removed from a Compaq Presario
 CDS 954 (original installed modem;  it has no jumpers) into a 386
machine running Win  3.1. The 33.6 modem I removed from this 386 worked
fine with that 386 and a 9600 external modem also works fine in the 386.

Neither Comit nor Drmodem nor the Juno install program will recognize the
14.4 in the 386.  Any ideas on how  to proceed?
