The reinstall is just a question, for future reference.  Everything is
working so far.  And I make monthly full bootable backups of my C drive,
just in case of a HD failure.  And I also make a full backup, not
bootable, more often just to be safe.  And a weekly data backup onto a
CD.  I've been burned before, and my backups are all that saved me.
