Hi,

There is never too much memory that you can add to a Windows XP system.
Put in as much as your wallet will let you and the main board will take.

128M runs windows xp
256M runs windows xp and one or maybe 2 programs well
512M runs windows and just about all programs okay

1024M runs what the ones above won't

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Joe Lore

Hi,
We have added windows xp to a HP8580C 20gb hard drive with 128mb sdram.
It works fine but after connecting it tothe internet it got very slow.
We would like to know our options on adding memory and how to add and
how much? Thanks, Tina Foskey [log in to unmask]
