That means that your hard drive is getting ready to quit on you.  If
scandisk can't fix the bad sectors, defrag will put your files on
non-damaged parts of the drive.  Eventually you're going to start having
corrupted files and lost data.  Best to back up your files now and budget
for a new hard drive.
