You have a P54C chip.
You did not say what type RAM you are using and if the voltage is
set properly for it... "Generally speaking":,
>>For SDRAM DIMM modules (3.3 V)
>>For EDO DRAM/Fast Page Mode DIMM Modules (5V)

The settings otherwise look fine to me.
(I looked them up in a motherboard manual from around

I have set the motherboard (FIC) for the following for a Pentium 166
(not MMX):
AT bus clock selector = 66MHz
Voltage= 3.5 (VRE)  (only other possibility is 3.5 (STC/VR)
CPU frequency = 66MHz
Internal clock = 2.5x

        Are these correct?  the reason i'm asking is that i'm having
problems with windows 98 se on this machine.  i've also added the processor
from another MB that gave me problems, but i never established whether it
was the MP or processor that was bad.
