In nearly any case where a new part or card is installed in a computer
and it will not boot make the assumption that it is defective. At that
time it needs to be tried in another machine. If you have the same
result it is bad and should be returned for replacement.

If it works in another machine:
Do you have any beeps on boot up ? If so check the codes.
Check the alignment of the card in the slots..be sure the
card is seated properly.
