Hi,
I usually use a win98 boot disk to load win95, and I very rarely run into
problems.

Does your floppy give you access to your CD drive? Switch to the drive (ex:
type D: ) and type install if it is Windows 98. Install /? will give you
lots of options including bypassing the advertising screens and running
scandisk again. If you are loading from floppies, the fist disk will have
the command Setup.exe to get things started. If you have a floppy from the
original Windows 95, there will be no CD driver (not till W95B, I think),
you will have to find the appropriate files and add them to your floppy to
see the CD-ROM. I have a old Mitsumi CD-ROM installation disk I use for
older machines that install the files on the hard drive, so I just FDISK and
FORMAT the hard drive, add the system files (format /s or sys c:) and run
the CD installation floppy. Reboot the computer and I have DOS running with
the CD-ROM active.

Thank You, I looked to be sure that everything was connected, yesterday. I
didn't think to check for loose wires. That was the problem! (Sometimes
things are so simple!) Now that it recognizes the A drive, I rebooted using
the boot disk and it takes me to an A prompt. Is there something I am
suppose to type in here to be able to load windows?
