Hello all,

I seem to recall this topic having been broached at another time but
I don't recall the fix.

Have an Amquest "Hypermodem" from Tiger software...Rockwell
Chipset,56K...flashed the BIOS to bring it up to V.90 standard...it
is extemely inexpensive for a modem that features it's own firmware
and I figure they must have cut corners somewhere.

My problem ,for some time now, is that the modem (fairly frequently)
will disconnect from my ISP when I click disconnect but will remain
"on" such that the phone can not be used. So far the only "fix" I've
had available to me is to reset the computer...rather an
inconvenience.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Many Thanks,
Bob Chapel
