I gather there are bed functions on the remote that are not available to
be controlled on the bed itself? So we still can't say that all the bed
movements or bed functions are 100% ok. Do you know any one with the
same bed and remote like yours that you can use to check your bed or
remote with? I mean can they bring their remote to your bed or you bring
your remote to their bed and check to see if the remotes control the
beds right?

The second thing I think of would be the remote's radio frequency. Let's
say it's operating in the 900Mz range. Someone like your next door
neighbor's phone that just got installed or you new phone could cause
the interference if one of them operates in the 900Mz band. From you
original post most likely it's not something like a phone. A microwave
dish that just got turn on maybe... Since it is radio frequency
controlled and the batteries are new then most likely you should be able
to hold the remote very close to the receiver unit and get the bed to
work right if the equipment is working right. You would be making a very
powerful signal that hopefully will override the interference in the
room. You can try that.
