Today when using Printmaster, I needed to access the DVD for a file, but was unable to get the program to recognize the DVD in the drive.
I opened Windows Explorer and both the CD-Rom and DVD-drive were not listed. Both were gone.
Since I leave my machine running, I closed everything and rebooted - still no CD-Rom or DVD drive.
So I shut down and opened the computer all cables were snug, nothing was loose. Rebooted and still no drives.

Both drives have power (lights come on during boot), and are recougnized by BIOS.
One drive is on the primary channel with a hard drive and the other is on the secondary channel with a hard drive - both hard drives are recougnized, but the CD-Rom and DVD do not show up in Windows Explorer, My Computer or Device Manager.

Anyone have any ideas? As I have never seen this before.

Thanks,

Fran
